No. As dictated in Rule 14, You must follow the Ontario Sportfishing Regulations for Zone 7.
Species tagged and entered into the Derby are restricted to Pike, Walleye, Lake Trout, Whitefish, Rainbow Trout, or Speckled Trout.
According to Rule No.15, the limit is entering 2 fish/day or a total of 4 for the entire Derby.
However, you must also follow the Ontario Sport Fishing Regulations and fish according to the type of licence that you have for each species of fish (i.e. Sport Fishing or Conservation Licence).
Yes. All participants MUST check in and out of each lake which they are fishing. This is MANDATORY and will be strictly enforced.
This is a safety issue for the Derby Board. We must know that all participants are off of the ice each night and that all participants are safe.
Yes. Online registration is accepted using PayPal. Whatever form of payment that is linked to your PayPal account may be used.

However, tickets are also available locally (until Tuesday, March 3, 2020) for purchase by cash or credit cards (a $5.00 service fee will apply) at Canadian Tire (54 Broadway Ave) 705-856-2285.
If we haven't sold out, registrations can be purchased at the Michipicoten Memorial Community Centre on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 01:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

You can fish anywhere on the assigned lakes within the marked boundaries. Please refer to the Rules and Regulations for restrictions on how close you can be to another participant.
